DETAIL SPECIFICATION
MOUNTS, RESILIENT, MARE ISLAND TYPES 11M15, 11M25 AND 10M50
This specification is approved for use by the Naval Sea Systems Command and is available for use by all
Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense.
1. SCOPE
1.1 Scope. This specification covers Mare Island Rubber Laboratory type resilient mounts used to support
equipment on surface ships and submarines. This specification includes requirements and verification tests for the
rubber compound and fully assembled mounts.
1.2 Classification.
1.2.1 Types (see 6.2).
11M15 Nominal resonant frequency of 11 Hertz at 15 pounds with a load range from 9 to 15 pounds.
11M25 Nominal resonant frequency of 11 Hertz at 25 pounds with a load range from 15 to 25 pounds.
10M50 Nominal resonant frequency of 10 Hertz at 50 pounds with a load range from 25 to 50 pounds.
1.2.1.1 Non-magnetic designation. The suffix "NM", following the mount type, designates non-magnetic
construction.
2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS
2.1 General. The documents listed in this section are specified in sections 3, 4, or 5 of this specification. This
section does not include documents cited in other sections of this specification or recommended for additional
information or as examples. While every effort has been made to ensure the completeness of this list, document
users are cautioned that they must meet all specified requirements of documents cited in sections 3, 4, or 5 of this
specification, whether or not they are listed.
2.2 Government documents.
